Shock you to life

Went to upgrade myself today by attending a CPR + AED course. This was conducted as part of the National Lifesaving Day at the Singapore Expo.

Been thinking of signing up for such a course for quite some time now especially since I have conducted programmes for the elderly on a few occasions. When I found out this course was free to NROC coaches, I jumped on the opportunity and grabbed it!

The course was fairly simple. It started with a quick run through of the CPR portion since I was already certified in Standard First Aid. The AED portion was very straight forward. In fact, the AED actually gives you audio instructions. You just listen and follow!

I would probably advise all coaches to take up this course and upgrade beyond the Standard/Basic First Aid requirements needed to be a coach.

Hi Kenneth,

Great blog, love the pictures!

This is slightly off-topic, but having recently moved to Singapore I was wondering if you would know where I could store a kayak in Singapore? Are there clubs which rent out storage spaces? I don't have a car so somewhere by the water would be best:)

Thanks for your help!

Cheers,
Kris
