The latest and fanciest Water-Venture outlet officially opened last month even though it had already been operating for several months.
This outlet located at 11 Rhu Cross can be considered the replacement for the previous Water-Venture Kallang outlet under the Nicoll Highway.
It takes quite a bit of effort to reach Passion Wave as it is hidden amongst the condominiums in Tanjong Rhu.
Since the focus of this outlet is for non-certified paddlers, there are more sit on top kayaks as compared to the usual dancer, bandit or slaloms. In fact, there are no slaloms here.
Back entrance nearer to the water
It is a pretty huge place.
Once fill up the forms and pay for the rental, you will have to head over to the back and sign more forms. One form is for signing out the boat, while another is done after you listen to a safety brief by the duty staff at the counter in the boat shed area.
Equipment are nicely stacked in racks.
You will have to carry the boat down a gangway onto a floating pontoon. So do ask the staff for help if you have never done a pontoon launch. It can be a trickier to get onto the kayak from a pontoon.
A nice spacious washing bay
Lockers are available for rent, though I hear the price has increased to $2 now. The entrance to the showers are hidden between the kayak racks and many people have missed it. There is a water cooler for those who need to fill up their water bottles too.
As the place is new, toilets are really nice, modern and clean. However, the showers have very low water pressure :(
All in all, its a good place to go, just with great scenery. The downside is that it can be a little inconvenient to get to via public transport.

Hi! Great blog u have, about to try out Kayaking for the 1st time! Which place would you recommend which does have a generous restricted area for non 1 star paddlers ? But still having a good amount of stuff to see.
Kallang PA or passion wave or anything else?
Generally, Water-Venture outlets which are under the People's Association are very restrictive.
Your best bet would be to approach private operators like Water Cross in Pasir Ris. They charge significantly higher prices though.
